EutelTRACS - Vehicle Hardware
EutelTRACS vehicle hardware includes two components:
- The Driver Interface (an easy-to-use keyboard display or optional in-vehicle computer)
- The Antenna Communications Unit
Driver Interface
- Enhanced Display Unit
The driver uses the Enhanced Display Unit (EDU) to enter information and read messages sent from dispatch. The 15-line by 40-character display supports text. The QWERTY keyboard is spill-resistant and backlit for easy use.
- Third party onboard computer
The antenna communication unit can be linked to a board computer from one of Qualcomm's partners. Qualcomm provides technical support for the integration process.
Antenna Communications Unit
The ruggedized Antenna Communications Unit (ACU) houses EutelTRACS on-board computing capabilities and directional antenna in a single unit. The ACU installs quickly and securely on your vehicle and provides reliable, continuous communication. The ACU includes an integrated GPS receiver.
